SUGO-UDE GIRL ／ 凄腕ガール

HIROKO will appear in the "SUGO-UDE GIRL" corner on a tv show of "SMART LOUNGE" at 11PM on Jan. 27.

1/27（金）23時～BS朝日「スマートラウンジ」の「凄腕ガール」というコーナーにHIROKOが登場します。
ラウンジホストは、ロバートキャンベルさんで、ラウンジゲストは作詞家・歌手の依布サラサさん、早稲田大学文学学術院教授の十重田裕一さん、森岡書店店主の森岡督行さんです。

resuming sale of "KAMI-KAZARI" ／ 「紙飾」販売再開のお知らせ

We have resumed sale of "KAMI-KAZARI".
"KAMI-KAZARI" is a pop-up paper relief.
All you need to do is to open it folded flatly, and put it where you like.
Its flatly-folded size is A4. So, you can send it by mail.

展示会にて完売していました「紙飾」が販売再開しました。
「紙飾」はポップアップのペーパーレリーフです。
パッケージからペタンコに折りたたまれた「紙飾」を取り出せば、後は「開いて飾るだけ」。
立体のペーパーレリーフをお楽しみいただけます。
現在amazonで販売しております。

To my fans and friends ／ ファンの皆様へ

The exhibition was ended with a great success.
I would like to thank you all.
I'm very happy to see and talk with you.

All of your words and smiles have gleatly encouraged me having physical and mental illness.
Every time I see and talk with my fans, I think I try to continue to creat pop-ups slowly but with love.

Although, I couldn't held the exhibition nor creat works without my husband's support.
With my husband, I think I want to creat pop-ups and hope that our works will be enjoyed by all.

展示会は大盛況のうちに終わりました。
本当にありがとうございます。
ファンの皆様に直接お会いし、お話できたことは大変幸せに思います。

皆様のあたたかいお言葉や笑顔は病で弱気になっている私にとって、とても大きな力になりました。
ファンの皆様とお会いし会話するたびに、私はポップアップ制作をゆっくりでも愛をこめて続けようと思っています。

しかしながら、今回の展示会もポップアップ制作も主人のサポートが無ければ私には成し得ることが出来ませんでした。

about "KAMI-KAZARI", my new work ／ 「紙飾」について

My new work, "KAMI-KAZARI", is a pop-up paper relief.
All you need to do is to open it folded flatly, and put it where you like.
Its flatly-folded size is A4.
So, you can send it by mail.

"KAMI-KAZARI" has been launched initial sales during the exhibition, has already been sold out.
Although we have taken some orders, we stopped taking orders from today.We will inform on the website, when we resume sale of "KAMI-KAZARI".

新作の「紙飾」はポップアップのペーパーレリーフです。
「紙飾」はペタンコに折りたたまれた状態でパッケージに入っており、
パッケージから取り出せば、後は「開いて飾るだけ」。
立体のペーパーレリーフをお楽しみいただけます。

展示会にて限定１０個の先行販売をしておりましたが、会期半ばで完売しました。
「紙飾」は完全日本製で、丁寧に人の手によって組立てられています。
そのため、販売再開には数ヶ月かかる予定です。
販売再開の際には、ウェブサイト上でお知らせします。

Thank you for coming to the exhibition!

I'm very glad to see many people.
It is a great encouragement to me.
Thank you for coming to the exhibition.

At this time, several of my works are almost sold out.
It takes at least a month to deliver my new work, "KAMI-KAZARI".
I appreciate your understanding.

I'm scheduled to be in the gallery on Nov. 2nd, the final day, during the rest of the exhbition. The closing time is five pm in the final day.
I'll stay at the gallery until the closing.
I hope that many people will come and enjoy my works.

my schedule of being in the gallery during the exhibition

An exhibition will be held at "sora no haco" gallery in Ebisu from Oct. 27th to Nov 2nd.

The workshop being schduled wiii be cancelled owing to my bad health.
Instead of the cancel, I am scheduled to be in the gallery on Oct. 27th, 29th, and Nov. 2nd.

During the exhbition, my new work "roller coaster" will be on show.
Please come and see, if you'd like.

展示会に向けて ／ for an exhibition

現在、ゆっくり活動しています。
長期にわたる闘病と薬による副作用とともに活動しています。
年を追うごとに、思うように活動ができないことも増えてきました。
けれど、近年はたとえハンディーキャップを抱えても助けとなる機器が沢山開発されていて、 とても活動の助けになります。
とはいいつつも、人の手に頼らざるを得ないものも多く、
ポップアップもそのひとつ。
ゆっくり、あせらず、愛情こめてつくります。

先の話ではありますが、
2011年10月27日（木）～11月2日（水）に開催する展示会では、
新作をお披露目します。（恵比寿の「ギャラリーソラノハコ」にて）
10月29日（土）には、ささやかながら、ワークショップも開催する予定です。
是非お越しください。

I will resume artwork activity.
I have made a lot of pop-ups while battling illness and sufferring side effects.
It has been getting harder for me to make pop-ups every year.
But a cutting edge device help various activities, although with a handicap,
it would be a great help for me. It becomes difficult for me to make pop-ups as in the past,
I will continue to create pop-ups at a slow pace.

2011calendar

この度、アートプリントジャパン（APJ）さんから、2011年カレンダーとして、

HIROKOのPop-Upの完成品が販売される予定です。

「メリーゴーランド」と「ランプ」の２作品です。
大変恐縮ながらAPJさんの商品カタログの表紙を当方の作品で飾ってくださいました。
商品の詳細については、APJさんのカタログもしくは直接お問い合わせください。

Pop-Upの完成品については、
「ものつくり日本」を廃れさせたくない、知的財産も安易に海外へ流出させたくない、
そんな思いから、私の強い希望だった、完全日本製「Made in Japan」が実現しました。

カットから組み立てまでを生産ラインでここまで複雑で丁寧さが要されるpop-upの完成品は、
世界中探しても無いのではないかと思います。
パーツごとに紙の種類を変える等、細部にまでこだわっています。

私の思いを実現してくださった関係者の皆様に感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。

TBS知っとこ！／shittoko！

2008年9月にTBSの知っとこ！に紹介していただいてから、
ペーパークラフト関連の特集の際にちょこっとずつ当方の取材映像を
使用してくださっています。
3月13日にまた特集があるみたいです。
今回で3回目？！、大変ありがたいです。

度々ペーパークラフトの特集が組まれているということは、
それだけペーパークラフトに注目が集まっているということでしょうか。

本屋さんではポップアップの本も最近はよく見かけます。
ポップアップ作家さんが増えてうれしいです。

お知らせ＆ポップアップについて思うこと

販売は終了しました。
ポップアップキットがリニューアルされました。
最新のレーザー機器の導入とレーザーとの適正の高い紙を使用することで、
レーザーによる焦げつきがより見立たなくなりました。

技術の進歩はすばらしいと思います。
しかしながら組み立てはやはり人の手に頼るしかありません。
当方の作品は細かいため完成品は世界中のどこにも販売されていません。

ポップアップの既製品のほとんどは、安い人件費を求めほとんどが海外へ流れています。
当然日本のものつくりの職人も減り、ほとんど職人が育っていません。
全てといっても過言ではないほどポップアップの商品は海外製で寂しく思います。

私は価格が少々高くなってしまっても、時間がかかっても、
日本で自分の作品の完成品第1号をだしたいと思っています。
日本でしかできないとも思っています。

いつか日本製のポップアップが沢山店頭に並ぶといいですね。

台紙が要らないポップアップ // pop-up sculputure


HIROKOの作るほとんどのポップアップは、
台紙が無くても本体のみで独立して立つことができます。
HIROKOは花瓶やトルソー、観覧車、ツリーは自宅の書棚や玄関脇に
本体のみオブジェとして飾ってます。
その時々で畳んでしまったり開いて飾ったりします。
スペースをとらずに保管できる、というのはとても合理的です。
皆さんも是非オブジェとしてお試しください。
新作のクリスマスツリーは送るのはもちろんのこと、
自分用に卓上に飾ってはいかがでしょうか！

The main body of almost my pop-ups stands independently without board papers.
